Billings Farm’s Baby Animal Day

Billings Farm & Museum, gateway to Vermont’s rural heritage, will feature Baby Animal Day on Saturday, April 4th, from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

The event will feature family-centered programs with the farm’s calves, lambs, chicks, and ducklings; also horse-drawn wagon rides, heirloom seeds and children’s craft activities.

Get up close with the farm’s baby animals and learn about their care, diet, and growth. Pom-pom chick and lamb handprint craft activities will be available for children.

Start planning your garden as you learn about the importance of heirloom seeds and select a few varieties from the Billings Farm to plant at home.

Admission includes all programs and activities, the farm life exhibits, 1890 Farm House, plus the working dairy farm and horse-drawn wagon rides.

Cost: adults: $14.00; over 62: $13.00; children 5-15: $8.00; 3-4: $4.00; under 3: free.

Nanodays @ Echo

ECHO, in partnership with the UVM Society of Physics Students, is a part of a nationwide festival of educational programs about nanoscale science and engineering. This community-based event is the largest public outreach effort in nanoscale informal science education and involves science museums, research centers, and universities from Puerto Rico to Alaska.

NanoDays celebrations bring university researchers together with science educators to create new and unique learning experiences for both children and adults to explore the miniscule world of atoms, molecules, and nanoscale forces. They will be combining fun hands-on activities with presentations on current research.

Cost: free with admission – Adults $13.50 | Seniors & College Students $11.50 |Children ages 3-17 $10.50 |Under 2 FREE
