Get your tents and smores supplies ready, it’s time to go camping!
1. Green Mountain Family Campground, Bristol
This family focused campground has everything you need for a comfortable camping experience, including full hook-up service including water, electricity and sewer for those who need it.
2. Button Bay State Park, Ferrisburgh
This State Park offers a great playground as well as a swimming pool with a water slide. Lots to do to keep the kids busy!
3. Burton Island, near St. Albans
Burton Island is a 253-acre park off the southwestern tip of St. Albans Point in Lake Champlain’s ‘Inland Sea’. The park is accessible only by boat, with the state’s passenger ferry making the 10-minute trip from Kamp Kill Kare State Park. This makes for a super fun, family adventure!
4. Grand Isle State Park, Grand Isle
Grand Isle State Park is the most-visited campground in the state park system. It’s got great beaches and a boat launch for canoes, kayaks, etc.
5. Elmore State Park, Lake Elmore
This is a great place to camp if hiking is your thing! Enjoy the trails and the sandy beach when you’re not sitting around the campfire.
6. Getaway Mountain Campground, Ascutney
This is a 100 site campground with beautiful scenery, a heated pool, and lots of fun activities to enjoy.
7. Tree Farm Campground, Springfield
“Our campground is quiet and peaceful, yet only minutes away from the convenience of downtown Springfield’s stores and restaurants. Our individual campsites are spacious, private, and are surrounded by white pine trees, most are over 100 feet tall! We have a beautiful log cabin lodge with free hot showers and the cleanest restrooms in the business.”
8. Breezy Meadows Campground, Northeast Kingdom
This campground is all about a peaceful, relaxing camping experience. But don’t worry, there’s plenty for the kids to do including mini golf!
9. Tree Corners Family Campground, Northeast Kingdom
Tree Corners Family Campground is Vermont’s newest modern family campground. Enjoy the fun of camping while still enjoying modern conveniences like electricity, wifi, satellite and water slides!

This busy park is popular for its sandy swimming area, picnic grounds, and camping area. Its proximity to Woodstock and other central Vermont tourist destinations makes it ideal for family vacations. This is also a spot for great fishing on Silver Lake!
12. Jamaica State Park, Jamaica
This state park is popular among families. Located on the bend of the West River, it provides great opportunities for fishing and swimming. This campground is also pet friendly!
