There must be some kind of human condition that makes us love to peek into each others lives.
Here’s a peek into 10 real everyday moms’ makeup bags. These are the bags of stay at home moms, working moms, first-time moms, moms of multiples, high maintenance, low maintenance, drugstore, high end, and everything in between!
“I’m 25 years old. I have 1 child, Trinity, who’s 4 1/2 months old. I just finished my kindergarten teaching position and will be a SAHM until I figure out if I want to work again, since I moved to live with my husband on base. He’s Army, which explains the bag. We threw mine out in the move. It was nasty.”
“I mainly use Mac but I also love the cheap stuff like NYX. I am 29 years old. I have 3 children- 9, 6 and 4 1/2 months old. Before becoming a stay at home mom, I was a restaurant manager. Will be going back into the workforce by the fall, unfortunately.”
“I’m 30, married to my husband for 2 years, and we have a 5 month old daughter, Charlotte. I work in management at a software development firm, but am contemplating a career change as a teacher so that I can be home more with my daughter, especially when she reaches school age”
“I’m 31 and have one daughter. I work full time as a software tester. When I was a teenager, I asked a friend for makeup advice and she had me sit with someone at the mall. I couldn’t afford the products they used so we went to the drugstore after and I used those for years. I even had an ex-boyfriend give me tips, that’s how little I knew! At Christmas, my mother in law took me to the MAC makeup counter and has been buying me pieces since for my birthday and mothers day etc.”
“I didn’t realize what a Bobbi Brown addict I’ve become… I don’t always wear makeup, I’m 27 and a first time mom with a 4 1/2 month old. I own a fast casual (barbecue) restaurant. I work a couple days a week and stay home the rest of the time.”
“These are my everyday go-to’s… I fell in love with Tarte cosmetics because I have really bad acne scars and it’s the first makeup I’ve tried in all my trials that actually works. I’m 27, working mother to a 5 month old, Daisy, and married. I am a registered dental assistant, so hours are long. I wish I didn’t have to wear makeup, but I look way too tired and sick if I don’t, because I have dark circles and no eyebrows, hahaha. I used to buy expensive stuff but since getting a house and baby, my wants have become sub par… I’d rather spend money on my daughter than on me.”
“These are my everyday. I don’t go for expensive makeup and I only do the basics cause it’s easy. I’m 35 with 2 boys, 6 and 4 1/2 months. I work at an elementary school in a self contained special Ed class. If I didn’t have to wear makeup I probably wouldn’t cause I really don’t know what I’m doing but I look like death without it.“
“Just a few of my faves found in my makeup bag. As a merchant for bareMinerals corporate for over 8 years, I’ve fallen in love with the products and the brand. The products are luminous and feel lightweight on your skin. Now as a SAHM with my first child, it is critical for me to apply makeup effortlessly. “Less is more” with bareMinerals products, just the way I love it!”
“This is what’s in rotation, but nowhere near my full collection. I love makeup and skincare! I’m 29 and a FTM of a 5 month old. I used to work in a law firm, but am now a SAHM. I like to keep it as easy as possible and definitely prefer a more natural look these days”
“I’m 27, have one 4 and a 1/2 month old son. I work full time as a high school math teacher, and was previously a swim and a softball coach. (Not sure if I will do it anymore because it’s too much time away from the baby!) I don’t use makeup often since I never really learned how!”
