Business Spotlight: B.GOOD, Delicious and Local Food with Roots

{Disclaimer: We are working with B.GOOD Burlington to bring you this post, however, all opinions are our own!}

When it comes to local restaurants, Vermont is brimming with options. We are excited to tell you all about our newest favorite, B.GOOD!

I knew I loved B.GOOD Vermont’s food from my lunch at BVTMB’s Family Fun Day in August and dinner at BVTMB’s Welcome to Burlington Dinner in September. B. GOOD Vermont is all about community and have been amazing partners to work with. Their food is fresh, locally sourced, made fast, and delicious. I knew it was somewhere I wanted to eat but wasn’t so sure if it would be a good restaurant for my 4-year-old and 21-month-old. I was pleasantly surprised!

Make sure you read to the end to hear about the special deal B.GOOD is offering our readers!

Before I go to any place to eat with my kids for the first time, I look up the menu and figure out what (if anything) my kids will eat. I started talking up B.Good’s Four Bean Chili (chili soup as we call it) to my daughter, trying to get her excited, when I realized they had a pretty awesome kids’ menu. Not only were there two options my kids would eat, but the meals we chose were only $5.99 and included a hot dog, french fries (could have gotten applesauce), broccoli (you should have seen my daughter’s face), and an Honest Kids Apple Juice Box. Ok, don’t judge me but I just got my kids a fast food kid’s meal last week and for basically the same price, we got much better food almost as quickly at B. Good. In the future, when I need to feed my kids fast, I now know a better option.

“They have good stuff here, right?!” -Caroline, age 4 gives her review of B.GOOD.

Speaking of kids, I really appreciated that although B.GOOD is a fairly small restaurant, there was space for my 21-month-old to run circles and no one gave him (or me) sideways glances while we waited for our food… and did I mention how quickly our food came out? I cringe at the idea of having hungry kids and waiting any length of time to put food in their tummies. They also have a very large (clean) bathroom with a changing table, which when you are downtown is always a huge plus.

For lunch, I had the Local Apple & Bacon Bowl and an Acai Berry Smoothie. I added chicken to my salad because I assumed it would need something a little more substantial. The chicken was delicious but completely unneeded. My salad included kale, avocado, NH slab bacon, local apples, pomegranates, dried cranberries, sunflower seeds, scallions, red wine vinegar, olive oil, and the added chicken. People, the bacon was not tiny pieces of shredded bacon, it was HUGE chunks and may just be one of the most delicious things I have ever eaten!

I ate every bite of my salad and drank every drop of my smoothie. I was so full I didn’t even eat dinner. Their menu said my salad was a seasonal item so I plan to go back soon to get it again!

My lunch mate enjoyed a hamburger, sweet potato fries, and a chocolate milkshake. She found each item so delicious and loved that B.GOOD offers healthy options like salads and smoothies as well as guilty pleasures like hamburgers and milkshakes while still allowing patrons to feel great about the quality ingredients that they offer in all of their menu items.

Although I love their convenient downtown location, the next time I crave their amazing food I’ll probably order online and bring it home (because, kids).  B.GOOD has a super convenient online ordering system and app so that you place your order and have your food waiting for you quickly. It’s like they thought of everything! And how about this exciting news, B.GOOD is now offering breakfast

B.GOOD is excited to extend some exclusive offers just to BVTMB readers!
