We are here to help you find the Vermont Summer Camps you and your kids will love!

Here you will find a thorough list of day camps and overnight camps, camps for preschoolers and camps for high schoolers, camps for girls and camps for boys.  We have worked hard to find camps that fit all different needs and price points, and we hope that this guide will help you plan a fun and stress-free summer!

Burlington Parks, Recreation & Waterfront

Give your child a variety of adventures to choose from this summer! Burlington Parks, Recreation & Waterfront offer more than 35 popular camps that focus on sports & athletics, science & learning, creative arts or outdoor adventures. They also have Champ Camp: an amazing Licensed Day Care with week-long options that’s packed with daily adventures. Scholarships are available for all recreation programs! Don’t forget about adult programs just for you!

Evolution Yoga Camp

EvoKids Yoga Camps


Evolution Kids Yoga Camps combine active yoga time with games, crafts, mindfulness and FUN. Summer camps take place along the Burlington waterfront, so campers have plenty of outside time for discovery and play in the Nature Yogis Camps for ages 5-8, Yoga and Community Activism Camps for ages 8-10, and Yoga and Sailing Camps for ages 6-10. Yoga helps children become attuned to their bodies on the inside and out - join in for some yoga-filled fun! Register early, space is limited.

Summer Camp Guide

Hosmer Point Camp

With a focus on helping campers build confidence and a feeling of community, Hosmer Point offers 1, 2, 4, and 6 week residential sessions for ages 9 to 15, day camps for ages 5 to 8, and Wilderness Trekking camps for teens. Campers direct their own schedules, choosing from a wide variety of activities including: sculling, sailing, caring for farm animals, gardening, carpentry & woodworking, mountain biking, creative arts, guitar lessons, and sports and fitness. With only 80 campers per session, and one staff person for every three campers, each child is respected as an individual.

Additional All Interest Camps:

  • Pok-O-MacCready Camps – coed residential summer camp in the Adirondack Mountains for boys and girls ages 6-16
  • Town of Williston Rec CampsThree Day Camps are offered; Explorers Camp- 4-7 yr. olds, Camp Venture- 8-11 yr. olds and Teen Venture- 12-14 yr. olds. Camps are Monday-Friday, 7:30am-5:30pm– drop off is 7:30-8:30am, camp program is 8:30am-4:30pm and pick up is 4:30-5:30pm. There are 8-one week sessions from June 25- August 17. There are no camps July 4. Campers provide their own lunch, snacks and drinks daily. $30 deposits are accepted per camper, per sessions, per camps. Camp information and registration will be available mid-February. See Camp Policy & Procedures for registration information.  They also offer Sports, Specialty & Enrichment Camps.

Roaring Brook Camp for Boys

For over 50 years, Roaring Brook Camp has specialized in providing instruction in outdoor sports and outdoor skills, and Vermont crafts. A 650-acre forest preserve with 15 acre private lake provides a pristine setting for boys wanting a fun and exciting camp experience. Activities include: rock climbing, rappelling, ropes course, tyrolean traverse, bouldering, slack-lining, survival training, orienteering, swimming, kayaking, canoeing, fishing, fly-tying, woodworking, leatherwork, blacksmithing, archery, marksmanship, fitness, timber sports, nature, first aid and rescue.

  • Camp Sangamon: summer camp for boys ages 9-16 set beside a beautiful lake in the hills of central Vermont, just minutes from Rutland and Killington.
  • Night Eagle Wilderness Adventures: summer camp for boys, ages 10 to 14, located on 135 acres in the heart of the Green Mountains in Cuttingsville, VT
Twin Hills Girl Scouts Camp

Girl Scouts Camp Twin Hills

Girl Scouts Camp Twin Hills, Richmond, VT – Summer session dates Monday, July 9 – Friday, August 3 – Spend your summer at Camp Twin Hills in beautiful Richmond, Vermont. This day camp features nature trails, an archery range, and a large playing field for games galore. Their experienced and caring staff empower girls to take the lead in outdoor adventures – whether outdoor cooking, GaGa ball tournaments, or hiking.

Open house Sunday, May 6 from 1-5 p.m. All girls welcome! Previous involvement in Girl Scouts not required.

MetroRock

MetroRock Climbing Center

For many children and teens, climbing is a natural inclination – from trees to playgrounds to that boulder in the backyard. MetroRock is the largest venue in Vermont for these young ones to follow their inner monkey and take to the walls!

MetroRock is proud to offer youth camps for the next generation of climbers, ages 5 to 18. They are proud to offer both indoor and outdoor summer camp options that include a balanced blend of climbing, safety instruction, and team building. BASE (Burlington Area Summer Extreme) Camp is a week-long indoor climbing experience that provides a well-rounded introduction to rock climbing. Each day consists of a mix of climbing, games and adventure elements on climbing walls. Camps are run by experienced staff and for BASE camp there are morning only or Full day options.The RAD (Rock climbing Adventure Day camp) Outdoor Camp provides the opportunity to experience the great climbing areas around Burlington. MetroRock’s RAD Outdoor Camps are run by experienced outdoor climbing guides. The week may include climbing at local crags, bouldering at Smuggler’s Notch, a quick hike of a local peak, spelunking, and other fun activities. The main focus of the camp is climbing but they try to mix in some similar activities while resting everyone’s arms!

Additionally, Metrorock has a wide variety of group activities. These are including and not limited to overnights, birthdays, summer and school break camps, team building events for adult and children, merit badge programs, graduation/orientation events, field trips, adult classes, memberships and more!

  • Common Ground Day Camp – Day camp focusing on nature exploration, artistic expression, cooperation and overall fun! Activities include swimming, arts & crafts, archery, soccer, wilderness skills, hiking, basketball, tennis, and much more. Round trip bus transportation available from South Burlington.
  • ECHO: ECHO offers camps for children entering K-6th grade from late-June through late-August.
  • Essex Park and Recreation Summer Camps: Something for everyone in the Essex Rec programs.
  • Camp Maple Street: Essex Junction Recreation and Park’s flagship summer camp for children entering grades 1-5
  • The Shelburne Museum: Learn and Play Summer Day Camps in Shelburne, VT for children ages 6-13

Young Hacks Academy

Does your child have what it takes to lead in the 21st century? Young Hacks Academy is a STEM summer camp that uses technology to develop real-world leadership skills. Blending computer programming, problem-solving, and teamwork, YHA teaches kids to build cool video games and interactive stories about big challenges facing the world today, such as climate change, homelessness, and endangered wildlife. As serious as they are about exploring technology, YHA is also committed to having fun away from the screen, moving campers outside each day for unplugged games like treasure hunts and riddle relays.   • Mount Snow Family Camp: family camp in the Green Mountain National Forest; packages available with or without lodging
  • Ohana Family Camp: family camp on Lake Fairlee, VT.
  • Bread & Butter Camp: for campers ages 7-14 at Bread & Butter Farm on the Shelburne/South Burlington town line
  • Enniskerry Farm: riding camp in Colchester, VT
  • Fairmont Farm: Life on the Farm Camp in Montpelier, available for kids that are six to twelve years old.
  • New Village Farm: Farm and Garden Camps for children 5-10; Field and Forest Camps for campers 9-13; Teen Work Skills for 15-18 year olds.
  • One Mitten Farm: full day camp for kids 5-10
  • Shelburne Farms: for campers ages 4-17 interested in the farm community- lottery closed, but you can still apply to be on waitlist

Sustainable Outdoor Leadership Education - S.O.L.E. Camp

Outdoor adventure nature based day camp located at the Ethan Allen Homestead in Burlington. Campers ages 6 - 9 and 9 - 12 years old. Activities include hands-on exploration of wetlands, fields and forests, animal tracking, plant identification, games, adventure and more!

  • Audubon Vermont: Preschool Nature Camp for ages 3-5; Ecology Day Camp for ages 6-12; Counselor-in-Training Program for high school students.
  • Basin Harbor Kids Camp – Camps for ages 3-5 are Champs Camp, ages 6-8 are the Harbormates and ages 9-12 are the Explorer, as well as teen camps.
  • Catamount Outdoor Family Center: co-ed mountain bike camps and  cross country running camps for ages 6-17.
