Orchard Valley Waldorf School offers nurturing care for the littlest of children in our Montpelier Little Lambs Early Care Center for ages 6 weeks to 3 years, and a loving and active preschool and kindergarten program at our Montpelier Child's Garden for ages 2 1/2 to 6. On our 55-acre East Montpelier Main Campus, we offer Parent/Child classes, two mixed-age Kindergarten programs including Farm & Forest, and Grades 1-8. All classes take part in extensive time on the land including helping to care for the goats, sheep and chickens, and Grades 1-8 engage in a special On The Land afternoon program as well as rigorous academic studies, handwork, woodworking, music, drawing, and French. The Schoolhouse is a progressive elementary and middle school in South Burlington. For 45 years SH has offered dynamic and differentiated learning, with a hands-on, project-based curriculum shaped by year-long scientific and cultural themes. Classroom inquiries are paired with experiences within our 28-acre campus of wetlands and fields, on field trips, and through our partnership with Bread & Butter Farm. Wrens Preschool

The Wren's Nest Wilderness Preschool

Wren’s Nest is a wilderness program for children ages 3-6. Students at Wren’s Nest learn by interacting with the natural world. The program runs one day a week through the school year. Wren’s Nest is a holistic, interdisciplinary, and sensory-based approach to learning, and a companion program to The Willowell Foundation’s nationally-recognized outdoor high school program, The Walden Project. Students are engaged in an outdoor curriculum that incorporates wild edibles, fire building, tracking, shelter building, sensory awareness, singing, nature based art, and so much more.
